The state-run media in Canada (and the citizen-owned media who do their best to compete with them) all lament, daily (with intra-day lament updates, all day long), the price of a barrel of oil, and the resulting price of gas. Diary time again. Wednesday afternoon, I ended up doing something I had never done before, and the only reason was because the Pope was visiting America. Normally, I would be indifferent to such a thing, and it was exactly my complete indifference that drove me to this point. When the news that Singapore is going to hold the first ever F1 night race came out, hotels around the track had put forth proposals that could charge the customers as high as $1,700 per night. Now, just 5 months away from the Singapore F1 Grand Prix, it is reported that the hotel rates could possibly fall after receiving cold response..
